Albert W. Knapp, Sr., 89 of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. Born September 1, 1927 in Leon, WV to the late George and Myrtle (Thomas) Knapp he had been an area resident since 1948. Albert was the owner of Sterling Barbershop in Sterling, OH and a member of Legacy Christian Church in Clinton. God and family were the two most important parts of his life. Albert enjoyed playing the guitar and was a proud U. S. Army Veteran having served in Japan. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by son Albert W. Knapp, Jr. and five siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Helen (Steiner) Knapp; daughter, Debbie (Victor) Foltz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Knapp; brother, John (Wilma) Knapp of Millersburg, OH and sister-in-law, Janet Johnson of Akron. Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, 10AM, at Legacy Christian Church, 7592 Middle St., Clinton, OH, Norman Maynard officiating. Burial at Clinton Cemetery with Military Honors by Firestone VFW #3383. Calling Hours Friday, 5pm to 7pm, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers memorials in Albert's name are requested to the American Heart Association, 4682 Douglas Cir NW, Canton, OH 44718.
