Ellen Joyce (Wallace) Smith

Ellen Joyce Smith, 86, of Massillon, Ohio passed away on April 5, 2018. She was born on March 19, 1932 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Eugenia Gorby and Leonard Wallace. To know Ellen was to love her from her contagious smile to her warm soft heart. Ellen (Joyce) was a strong, generous and loving lady that dedicated her life to family and friends. Her kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor will be missed by all. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking (especially holiday goodies), watching her shows and spending time with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by her surviving children: Barb Wiesen of Wadsworth, Debra and Martin Galvin of Florence, Arizona, Bill and Jan Wiesen of Bonney Lake, Washington, Bonnie and John Rice of Doylestown , Carrie Wiesen and Tammy Smith, both of Massillon; siblings Richard Sherwood of Dover and Dianne Gajovski of Canal Fulton; grandchildren, Laurie Adrian and family of Wadsworth, Tracy Guerriero and family  of Berwick, Pennsylvania, Sarah Collins and family of Enumclaw, Washington, Jesse Keene and family of Denver Colorado, Kasey Wiesen and family of Yuma, Arizona, Nate Smith of Los Angeles, California and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sons, Larry Wiesen, Darryl Smith; sister Patricia Gorby and brother Larry Wallace. Come celebrate the life of Ellen Joyce Smith who passed on. The family will receive friends MONDAY, 5pm to 7pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. A celebration of Ellen's life will immediately follow at 7pm, Dr. Tom Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Friends of Stark Pound or the Siffrin Home.
