Evelyn J. Limbach, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Born and raised in Akron, Evelyn attended Garfield High School where she prepared to become a secretary. She was very proficient at typing and shorthand and worked for many years at various companies in Akron. She was also a charter member ot the Akron Baptist Temple, where she taught Sunday School. Evelyn and her husband lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma from 1982 until 1994, due to her husband's employment with Conoco Phillips - formerly known as Phillips Petroleum. They both enjoyed being active in the local Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary chapter. Evelyn also volunteered with the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She spent her spare time pursuing her favorite hobby of shopping/decorating, by making frequent trips to Tulsa.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Waneta Harding; husband of 56 years, James; sister, Eileen Coker; son, Robert Jack and grandson, Robert Dean, both of Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her duaghter, Sharon (Peter Wilson) of Cuyahoga Falls (formerly of Richmond, Virginia; sister Louise Fann of Akron and several nephews.
Private funeral service and burial were held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, at the family's request. In lieu of flowers Evelyn's family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army in her name.
