Joan E. Sullivan, 81 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at Danbury Senior Living, Massillon. Joan was born May 20, 1936 in Clinton to the late Robert and Lena (Warner) Gallagher and was a life resident of Clinton. She retired from First Merit Bank, Clinton, was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (formerly a member of St. George Catholic Church, Clinton) and the Clinton Historical Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Marvon and sister, Shirley Siegenthaler; She is survived by children, Sherry (David) Hall, Tim Sullivan and Bruce (Nancy) Sullivan; grandchildren, Ciara (Nick) Shearer, Stacey (Mike) Stanar, Nicholas Woodring, Madison (Trevor) Strong, David (Tiffany) Hall and Robyn (Justin) Smith; great grandchildren, Ariona and Kirra Shearer, Leah, Logan and Lucas Stanar, Rennick and Killian Strong, Gage, Keagan, Zephyr and Ella Hall and Joscelyn Smith; sister, Gerry (Don) Nitz, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial THURSDAY, 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron with Fr. David Bline, celebrant. (Procession will form at the Church on Thursday) Burial will take place at Clinton Cemetery. Friends may call WEDNESDAY 4-7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton.
