Robert O. Wilson, 95 of Clinton, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. He was born December 27, 1921 in Akron to the late Charles and Pearl (Thorton) Wilson and had been a Barberton/Clinton resident all of this life having worked 37 years for Yoder Brothers until their closing and then retiring in 1989 from Ultralen. Robert joined the C.C.C. during the Depression then was drafted into the Army in 1941 and proudly served in WWII. Robert fought at the Battle of the Bulge, was awarded a Purple Heart, four Bronze Stars and was wounded in Belgium. He was an active member of the Clinton Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Kevin Peck; four sisters and two brothers. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty (Williams) Wilson; children, Judith (Leroy) Rollison, Butch (Peggy) Wilson, David (Cynthia) Wilson and Dale Wilson; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, 12pm NOON, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Calling Hours Tuesday, 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Clinton Church of the Nazarene, 2850 Hickory St., Clinton, OH 44216.
