Stephen Ernest Ogg, beloved son, father, grandfather and great grandfather, born December 20, 1940, peacefully passed away May 4, 2017 at the age of 76. Steve was a 1959 graduate of Northwest High School where he was All- County in football, was a retired pipefitter with Goodyear and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Canal Fulton. Steve was a gentle giant who was a craftsman, mechanic and who loved fishing. He will be remembered for his proud devotion to his large family and as a father and grandfather who attended countless activities, in loving and supporting everyone. Preceded in death by his father, Ernie and sister, Patty; Steve was the son of Paulette Ogg and was happily married to his wife of 56 years , Karen (Ellis) Ogg. He will be sorely missed and his memory cherished by his children and grandchildren. Steve was the father of Jeff (Beth) Ogg, Stephanie (Mark) Fox and Matt (Laura) Ogg; grandfather of Lindsay (Kevin) Stacy, Victoria (Casey Roch) Fox, Nate (Chelsy) Ogg, Natalie (Jimmy) Ogg, Nicole (Anthony) Salupo, Molly Ogg and Samantha Ogg, Emily and Tyler Badock: great-grandfather to Ryder , Max, Trevor, Ezekiel and Finley; brother of Debbie (David) Witte and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Funeral service TUESDAY 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 336 W. Market, Canal Fulton with Pastors Bob Linsz and Julie Thoms officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY 5-7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E, Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Steve's name to St. John Lutheran Church, Canal Fulton or Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton.
