Charles E. "Chuck" France, 79 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 with his wife by his side. Born July 23, 1939 in New Philadelphia to the late Alex and Susan France, Chuck was a 1958 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. After high school Chuck served in the United States Air Force for four years and spent three of those years in England. After his time in the service Chuck worked 33 years at the Hoover Co. and owned Wholesale Tack for 30 years. He was a member of the Sons of Herman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Pam Marti; brother, Bobby France and brother-in-law Jack Vincent. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joye (Wegner) France; sons, Mark (Kim) France, Michael (Angela) France; daughters, Michelle (George A.) Yoho, Kristine Wilson; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Dave) Lippy, Barbara Vincent and Eileen (Robert) Waldick.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Hospital, MICU and Woodlawn Compassionate Care for their wonderful care of Chuck.
A Memorial Service will be held SUNDAY, 3:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Jim Gindlesberger officiating. Calling Hours Sunday 1pm to 3pm. A reception will follow the services at the Canal Fulton Community Center. In lieu of flowers memorials in Chuck's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th St SW Suite 3400, Canton, OH 44707.
