Dora C. Carrico, 93 of Canal Fulton, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Born on January 23, 1924 in Lumberport, WVa. to the late William A. and Martha (Merrifield) Swiger, she was a member of the Canal Fulton VFW Post #9795 Ladies Auxiliary, Hill and Hollow Garden Club, Daughters of America and volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Wade; son, Randy Carrico; daughter, Sandra Sue Filliez; brothers, Harry, Richard, and Ed Swiger; sisters, Mary June Casto, Anna Heslep and great grandson Kristopher Carter. Dora is survived by son, Thomas (Brenda) Carrico; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, 11:00am, at the Canal Fulton Baptist Church, 11230 Lafayette Dr., Canal Fulton, Pastor Whitney Owens officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call SATURDAY 10am to 11am AT THE CHURCH. Canal Fulton VFW Post #9795 Ladies Auxiliary Service at 9:45am SATURDAY.
