Iola “Aunt Nanny” Paoletti (Prunesti), age 90, passed away on September 27, 2019. She was born in Akron, and lived all of her life in the Akron area, graduating from St. Mary's High School. Early in life she worked as a clerk and a manicurist and was nick named Aunt Nanny by her large Italian family. In her 30s she met the love of her life Lenny Paoletti and they married, had a child (Lenny III) and lived a life of God, family and fun. Iola was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for over 60 years, serving in the Council of Catholic Women and volunteering at the Knights of Columbus with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband Lenny; her parents; brothers, Dominic and Tony and sister Rose. She is survived by her son Len and his wife Chrisy and the loves of her and her husbands lives grandchildren
Lenny IV and Olivia; sisters, Maria Stewart and Catherine (Ralph) Pezzotti and many nieces and nephews who she would mention stories about from her past every day. Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, 2:00PM at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Fr. Michael Williamson officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron. Family and friends may call ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home.
