James Donald Redmond, 86, of Canal Fulton died Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Autumnwood, Rittman, Ohio. James was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 14, 1931 to Robert and Estella(Rutz) Redmond. He grew up in Akron, served in the army and was a Korean War Veteran. After retiring from General Tire, he opened Redmond’s Landscaping and Design Company. James is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Diane Iverson(Rick), grandson Zachary, sister Patricia (Redmond)Raymond and sister-in-law Jean Redmond. He will be fondly remembered by many special nieces, nephews and good friends as a kind and thoughtful man. Preceded in death by parents, son David, brothers Robert(Julie),Thomas(Jane), Richard(Noma), Kenneth, Daniel(Phyllis), William, Paul (Eleanor), and brother-in-law John Raymond.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 12:00 NOON at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton with Rev. Rod Grabski, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home TUESDAY 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial with military honors will be Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Seville, Ohio.
