Jaycie Lorraine Rood was born on October 29, 2001 and passed on November 12, 2018. Even though she was taken from us at such a young age, she made a deep impact on all our lives and captured our hearts. She was preceded in death by her grandfather James Meredith and her great- grandmother Lorraine Fincher. She is survived by her loving parents Curtis and Jaimee Rood, her loving brothers Clayton, Collin and Jack Rood, grandparents James and Jean Slegus, Maral Meredith and John (Kathy) Rood and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She loved boating, swimming, jet skiing, playing euchre, music, animals, family get-togethers and so much more. She was fearless and there is nothing that her brothers could do that she couldn't do or wouldn't try to do. She was generous with her love and thoughtful and respectful to all. She had a compassionate heart. She protected those who were bullied, she championed the underdog and was there with a helping hand when needed for anyone. Her passing has left an emptiness in all of us that only her sweet smile, loving ways and kind heart can fill. That emptiness will remain until we meet her again. She loved giving gifts. It was her wish to be an organ donor. Now she is giving the ultimate gift of life for others. A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Aultman Hospital for their compassion and support during this difficult time and to all who prayed for her and kept our family in their thoughts and prayers.
