Joel E. Novak, age 71, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 13, 1945 in Geneva, Oh. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mildred Novak and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie. He was a loving father to Lisa Novak Antil (Doug), Matthew (Heather) Novak, Luci Novak and granddaughters Mya, Macy and Adeline. Joel is survived by siblings Jim Novak, Janet Whaley and Judy Hudson as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Joel graduated from Kent State University in 1969 and worked in the data support systems industry for 38 years including Goodyear Aerospace. He was a faithful member of Trinity UCC Church, Canal Fulton. He is best remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend. His humor, kindness, and love knew no bounds and he was always positive and upbeat. He enjoyed his time with family and friends and creating life long memories along the way.

Our family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Cleveland Clinic Justin Rogers Hospice Center, Akron for his excellent care.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 8101 Manchester Ave, Canal Fulton, Saturday, May 6 at 10:30AM conducted by Rev. Glen Shedlock. A light luncheon will follow.
