Leonard "Lenny" Paoletti, Jr., 84 of Akron died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Summa, Akron City Campus. Lenny was born April 2, 1934 in Akron to the late Leonard and Katherine (Rachubka) Paoletti and had lived most of his life in Akron. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a baker for Kistlers Bakery from 1951- 1983 and retired as a baker for area Apples. During his retirement he was active with the Knights of Columbus. Lenny enjoyed bingo, many other games of chance and making people laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John (and his wife, Gloria) and his Uncle Adam. He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Iola (Prunesti) Paoletti; son, Leonard (Christina) Paoletti, III; grandchildren, Leonard Paoletti, IV and Olivia Paoletti; sister Mary Jane Paoletti; many nieces and nephews, especially his niece Kathy. Funeral service will be held THURSDAY 2:00 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton with Fr. Michael Williamson, officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home THURSDAY, one hour prior to time of service.
