Rick 'Ricky' D. Archer, 65, a resident of Canal Fulton and Lakeside Marblehead, OH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018. Rick was born and raised in Akron, OH where he graduated from Ellet High School and the University of Akron. Rick co-founded his business, Coach House Floral, in Canal Fulton in 1979. Rick was an avid boater on Lake Erie, a yacht enthusiast and a luxury car aficionado. Rick was preceded in death by his father, William 'Bill' Archer in 2006 and his mother Anna 'Tina' Archer in 2009. He is survived by his brother, Gary D. Archer (Mary) and sister Rebecca 'Becki' Sharrock (Gary), all of Port St Lucie, FL; his long-time friend and life partner, Brian Ross; an uncle, aunt, niece and nephew; countless friends whose company he greatly enjoyed, his dedicated employees whom he loved and appreciated; and his beloved Norwich Terrier, Winslow. Funeral service will be held on THURSDAY, September 6th at 11 am at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial will follow thereafter at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, September 5th from 4 pm to 7 pm at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home. After the graveside service, a wake will be held at the VFW Post #9795, 257 N Canal St, Canal Fulton. As a professional florist, Rick would be honored by your floral tributes.
