Ada P. Heflin, 99 passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton, Ohio. She was born October 23, 1911 and lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was a devoted mother, loved life, nature and all animals and will be truly missed. Ada worked for Firestone Aircraft Division during World War II and retired from Sun Rubber Company after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Clay; daughter, Jessie Haggerty; parents, Moses and Ada Maria Smith; brothers Grant and Ben Smith; sisters, Ruby Smith and Ruth Ellen Nutter. She is survived by her son, Marshall (Margaret) Heflin, grandchildren, Debbie Haggerty, Larry (Rita) Haggerty; great grandson, Aaron Haggerty. Also surviving are her sisters, Edwina (Burl) Travis, Mary Jett; brother, Hadsel Lee (Gerri) Smith. Many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Chapel Hill Community for their excellent care of Ada. "Our comfort is in knowing that she resides with the Lord." Funeral Service MONDAY 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Dave Dahlstein officiating and where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial in Clinton Cemetery.
