Alan Frank Gazey, 71, was born July 9. 1952 and passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by brother, David Gazey; sister, Alexis Mazzie and brother-in-law, Darrell Hansel. Alan is survived by his wife Deborah, who loved and adored him for 39 years; sons, Brandon Gazey and Matthew Hopper; along with nieces, nephews and all of the loved ones whose life he touched. After retiring from the Veterans Administration, he and wife Deb enjoyed a "7 year vacation" in New Bern, NC. They recently returned to the area to be close to family. Alan was a US Air Force Veteran, lifelong member of the VFW and American Legion. He loved his Old English Sheep Dogs, enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing and most recently becoming involved with Veterans Outdoor Adventures Ohio. His biggest enjoyment was spending time in the woods with all of his "boys"; Brandon, Matthew, Adam and Curtis. Alan will be privately interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
