Albert F. Brooks, born in Akron on May 21, 1917 to the late Paul and Amy Brooks, passed peacefully on October 1, 2013. In March of 2013, Al lost his beloved wife of 74 years, Dolly Brooks. He is also preceded in death by his son Thomas Brooks. He is survived by daughter, Karen Hathaway, his sisters, Betty Brooks and Edna Hollingsworth, grandchildren Lorrie Grenus and her husband Dan of Uniontown, Debra Shreffler of Munroe Falls, Todd Brooks and Dawn Goodwin of California and Tom Brooks of Utah plus numerous great grandchildren. Al was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. No services are planned at this time.
