Albert W. Smith, 56 of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was born December 13, 1964 in Akron to the late Donald and Betty Smith, was a Clinton/Canal Fulton area resident all of his life and graduated from Northwest High School. At an early age he learned about well drilling from his father and when he was 18 started his company A W Smith Welling Drilling which he has operated for 38 years. Albert loved working and tweaking his equipment to make it more efficient. He also liked to help people no matter the circumstance and was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Kaye Miller. Albert is survived by his children, Natalie and Alex Smith; siblings, Sandra (Matthew) Smilek, Donna (Earl Colbry) Bloomfield and Bernard Lee Smith; many nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
