Obituary

Alyce J. Gentner (nee Tomay), age 95, of Canal Fulton, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026 at the Laurels of Massillon. Alyce was born September 29, 1930 in Akron, OH to George and Mabel (Imhoff) Tomay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leo F. Gentner Sr. She is survived by her son, Leo F. (Laurel) Gentner of Canal Fulton, OH; daughter, Mona (Michael) Ahern of Canal Fulton, OH; grandchildren, Sarah Gentner (devoted roommate, Clint) of Baltimore, MD, Katie (Orin) Higgins of Canal Fulton, OH, and Leo (Rachel) Gentner III of New Franklin, OH; great-granddaughters, Lexi Clark and Isabella Higgins.

Alyce was a lifelong resident of Canal Fulton, OH. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

The family would like to thank the Crossroads Hospice of North Canton, OH for their care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron, OH.
