Arthur J. Burkley, 77 of Canal Fulton, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 following complications from open heart surgery in November. Born on August 29, 1936 to the late Arthur William and Kathleen (Heilman) Burkley; Arthur graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a Bachelors Degree, with a major in Physics and a minor in Math. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from B.F. Goodrich with more than 35 years of service. Arthur enjoyed music, woodworking and doing leaded glasswork (stained glass).

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Burkley; children, Carolyn (Grady) Teeter, David (Kathy) Burkley and Calvin (Tina) Burkley; grandchildren, Tyler, Christian, Catie and Carter; sister, Kathleen Becker and brother, Lewis Burkley.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 10, 2014, 1:00pm, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton with Dr. Jack Summers, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to cancer research.
