Arthur Louis Molnar, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, after a long fight with heart disease and Alzheimer's. A lifetime resident of Clinton/Canal Fulton, Art attended Clinton School and graduated in the first graduating class at Northwest High School. A natural athlete, Art was a member of his high school basketball and baseball teams, lettering in both. He enjoyed coaching boys baseball and basketball and later girls softball. He founded Northwest Bantam Basketball for girls. An occasional golfer, he was proud of his hole-in-one at Lyons Den. Art served in the Army and Army Reserves, then retired after 43 years from Louisiana Pacific. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle; Art was born August 29, 1935 to Steve and Mary Molnar. His parents preceded him in death as did all of his siblings; sisters, Mary Molnar, Anna Donaldson, Julie Ries, Priscilla Molnar, Betty Ross and Lydia Madden; brothers, Steve, John, David and Paul; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Ruth; daughters, Lora (Kevin) Neitz and Lisa Lindeman; grandson, Tristen Lindeman. Special thanks to Summa Hospice, the staff at Chapel Hill, Lakeside and Rich Ries. Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY, 11am, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Pastor Jon George, officiating. Burial at Clinton Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by Canal Fulton VFW #9795. Calling Hours Monday, 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home and also One Hour Prior to services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Art's name can be made to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
