Barbara Jean Schaeffer (Evey), 91 of Massillon, OH passed peacefully on June 23, 2025. Barbara graduated from Canton Timken High School and retired after working many years for Gorman-Rupp in Mansfield, OH. Barbara lived in Florida for years and would walk the beach every morning. She loved going to church and sent large donations whenever she could to help. Barbara was a loving wife to her husband, Bob Schaeffer, for almost 18 years.

Barbara is predeceased by a sister, Carol Emmert of Massillon; niece, Cheryl Leonard of Massillon; and two stepsons, Eric and Stevan of Canal Fulton. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Bob, who took great care of her to the end; sister, Beverly (Don) Braid of Massillon; stepson, Don Rutter of Massillon; brothers, Richard Evey of Canton and Donald (Velma) Evey of Louisville; brother-in-law, Frank Emmert of Massillon and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside prayer service will be held WEDNESDAY, July 9, 2025, 11:00am at Canal Fulton Union Cemetery, W. Market St., Canal Fulton. There are no calling hours please meet at the cemetery.
