Barbara J. Hoover, 80 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Born November 20, 1943 in Akron to the late Robert Sr. and Marciel Lasch, she retired from ODOT after many years of service. Barbara was a member of New Hope Chapel a Church of Christ for over 30 years where she loved to serve the Lord. Barbara enjoyed reading and most importantly loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hoover; daughter, Kathy Allen; grandson, Zeke Martinez; brother, Bobby Lasch Jr. and brother-in-law, Benjamin Lutz. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Heidi Martinez; grandchildren, Kelsie Martinez and Aaron (Brian Gibson) Smith; great-grandchildren, Benton and Landon; sister, Phyllis Lutz and many other extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held FRIDAY, April 12, 2024, 7:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Dr. Ken Morrison officiating. Visitation Friday prior to the service from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
