Together Again... Benay L. Fertal, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, left this life peacefully on July 6, 2017 to go to her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her granddaughter Shelbi, her parents, Ben and Margaret Bradner and many family and friends she will meet there. Benay was born in Lorain on August 18, 1945. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Bruce Fertal, son, Douglas A. Fertal, daughter, Shauna (Vince) Martin, grandchildren Adelynne, and Hailey Martin, brother, Ben Bradner, and many nieces and nephews.

Benay graduated at Lorain High School and Kent State University where she received her certificate to teach elementary school. She had a passion for crafts, sewing, cooking, fashion (back in the day) and always thinking of others before herself. She worked as a school teacher just out of college, then as the children's librarian at the Canal Fulton Library. She once was active in Grace United Church teaching Sunday School and helping many children become closer to God.

Calling hours will be held Monday, July 10th from 10:00-11:00AM at Grace United Church of Christ, 933 Main Ave. West; Massillon, Ohio. Services will follow at 11:00 with a procession to Newmans Creek Cemetery following services.
