Benjamin E. Gesaman, 89 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Born April 25, 1936 to the late Willard and Kathryn (Butzer) Gesaman, he was a life resident of the Clinton/Canal Fulton area and a member of SS Philip & James Catholic Church. Ben retired from General Electric after 25 years of service and was the go to in the community for appliance repair. Ben was active in Northwest sports, whether coaching at the youth level or cheering on the high school sports teams. He was also a diehard fan of the Cleveland Guardians and Browns. Most importantly, Ben enjoyed traveling with his wife Dorothy across the US in their RV and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Willard and Robert Gesaman; sisters, Mary Earnsberger, Bonnie Jo Snyder and Donna Weber. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Gesaman; children, Christine (Sam) Castillo, Stacey (Eric) Hackney and Todd Gesaman; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held SATURDAY, June 21, 2025, 11:00am at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 412 High St. N., Canal Fulton, Fr. Thomas Cebula celebrant. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation Friday, June 20, 2025, 5pm to 7pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton.
