Bess E. (Duff) Lockhart, 88 of Canal Fulton passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Chapel Hill Community. Bess was born Nov. 21, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Agnes (Collins) Duff and had been a life resident of the area. She was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Bess was a member of the Sweet Adelines, served as an advisor for the 4 H and a leader with the Girl Scouts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank N.; grandson, Aaron and Daughter-in-law, Brenda;   her brother and sisters. Bess is survived by daughter, Becky (Cliff) Stewart of Mt. Vernon; sons, Frank N. Lockhart, Jr. of Carrollton and Shawn Lockhart of Canal Fulton; grandchildren, Carrie (Zia), Curt, Ashley, Corey (Katie) and Kyle; great grandchildren,  Zarek, Zoran, Hannah, Cord, Chase and Piper Rose; brother, Ray Duff and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be SUNDAY , May 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, 363 Cherry St. West with Rev. Jon George officiating and where friends may call SUNDAY from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Final resting place will be at Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroad Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
