Betty Joyce (Griffith) Bailey, 91, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born in Anderson, South Carolina on October 11, 1933 to the late John David and Annie Louise (Gilreath) Griffith. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Vernon E. Bailey, brother John David Griffith and sister, Mary Frances Smith.  She raised four children, Danny (Mary) Bailey, James (Jeannie) Bailey, Cathy (Noor) Sabbagh and Lisa Bailey.  Joyce has 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte (Griffith) Taylor and brother, William Stanley (Barbara) Griffith. Joyce loved sewing, crafting, and baseball. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home 624 Cherry St. E., (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Ohio, Sunday, November 24, 2024. The visitation will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm with a service immediately following, officiated by Pastor Jeff Ball and Brother Jamie Fryberger of the South Main Street Church of God in Rittman, Ohio. Interment will take place Monday, November 25, 2024, 11:00am at Greenlawn Cemetery 2580 Romig Rd. Akron, Ohio.
