Betty J Smith, 85, of Jackson Township, passed away on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at Lifecare Hospice in Wooster, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Manchester, Ohio, she remained close to her roots.

Betty's life story is an inspiring blend of hard work and care for her family. She enjoyed working alongside a local physician for many years, where she exemplified dedication in her career. Following her retirement, she found new purpose in the retail industry, eager to help those around her and proved hard work knows no age.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Betty's greatest joy stemmed from her role as a grandmother. She showered her grandchildren with love, laughter, and endless spoils. A visit to Grandma's would always end with arms full of shopping bags. Her heartfelt mantra, repeated often, was, "Let Grandma know if you need anything."

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Steve) Remark and Michelle (Matthew) Mosher. Her presence will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Adam (Mallory) Remark, Andrew Remark, Chaise (Evan) Troxel, and Madison (Jared) Wolfert. Additionally, her great-grandchildren Barrett and Baker Remark, and Emerson Troxel.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Betty J Smith.
