Carol Jane (Zavitz) Young, 69, passed away on Sunday October 12, 2014 after a prolonged struggle with Primary Progressive Aphasia. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late Elwood and Irene (Taylor) Zavitz. She had lived in Canal Fulton for the past 28 years. She nurtured others for 21 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Chapel Hill Retirement Community, retiring in 2010.

Carol was a caregiver to all and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed baking, knitting and gardening. She was a gentle loving soul remembered most for her laughter and smiling face. Always quick to please and never knew a stranger.

Preceded in death by her husband Aaron Eugene Young and Brother Roy Zavitz. She leaves behind four loving daughters Tracy (Kirk) Miller, Kellie Challenger, Suzette (John Willson) Askew, Lindsey (Douglas) Ruehling ; grandchildren Chelsie, Taylor, Shelby, Kayla, Patrick , Makenzie, Payton, Brandon, Chloe, Max; great-grandson Cameron ; step-children Heather , Jason and their families; sister-in-law Patricia Zavitz; and best friend since the 3rd grade Mary Ann Moore.

Honoring her wishes a private memorial and cremation has taken place.
