Carole (Kapper) Ryan died Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 30th, 1937 in Akron to the late Chick and Marjorie Kapper and graduated from Garfield High School. She worked as an operator for Ohio Bell and loved working and caring for the residents at Danbury in Cuyahoga Falls. Carole had such a kind soul and brought out the best in the people around her. She had a heart of gold, was very empathetic, adored her family and had a contagious laugh with a smile that lit up the room. Mom's love was so strong for her family and friends that she was willing to test every batch of cookies or bread she made to make sure it was good for us. Carole married the love of her life and raised three children. She will be sadly missed, but leaves behind her love for many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Kapper. Carole is survived by her loving husband, Dave Ryan; sons, Dave (Katja) Ryan and Scott Ryan; daughter, Beth Ryan; granddaughters, Jenelle (Adam) Vargas, Taneal (Matt) Eddy and Taylor (Jesse) Calcei; great-grandchildren, Vance, Avery, Emmett and Reed; sister, Beth (Randy) Barton; lifelong friend, Eileen Foutty; many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held FRIDAY, December 23, 2022, 11:00am, at RiverTree Massillon, 1600 Main Ave W, Massillon with Pastor Eugene Lingenhoel officiating. Visitation THURSDAY, 6pm to 8pm AT THE CHURCH and also one hour prior to service time on Friday.
