Carolyn Marie (Kuschell) Clemence

June 24, 1937 - October 6, 2017

Carolyn M. Clemence, 80, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 in Akron, Ohio after a short illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Allen and Irma (Krogh) Kuschell, she graduated from Cody High School in 1955, and attended National College in Kansas City, Missouri, where she met her husband-to-be. They married in 1960 in Detroit, Michigan, and started their pastoral career. She was a loyal and dedicated pastor's wife in Walnut Grove, St. Mary's, Cheshire/Berkshire, Mansfield, Manchester, North Canton, and East Sparta, Ohio, and a loving mother and grandmother. She never met a stranger she didn't love, and will be sorely missed.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Haskell Clemence; brother, Roy West and sister-in-law, Doris West. Carolyn is survived by her children, John (Sheri) Clemence, Cheryl (Bertram) Joseph, Lori (Don) Morrison, Mark (Shelly) Clemence, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Fry; grandchildren, Kristyn, Donnie, Joshua, Megan, Katie, Elizabeth, Zachary, Sarah, Marcus, Jayden, Kevern, Severin, Shequan, and Kevin; brothers, John Kuschell of Michigan, Kenneth Kuschell of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Kay Allingham of Michigan, Gertrude Clemence of Florida; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, 11AM, at Grace United Methodist Church, 1720 Schneider St NW, North Canton, OH, Pastors Jared Williams and Vernon Palo, officiating. Burial at Manchester Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday, 5pm to 8pm, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton and also one hour prior to services at the church.
