Carolyn Sue Turner

Carolyn Sue Turner, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

She was born in 1944 to her late parents Harry J. and Ruth (Nicklow) Greenawalt. Carolyn was a graduate of Northwest High School in Canal Fulton. She wed Jerry Turner, Sr. on November 4, 1961 and were married for 59 years. They went everywhere together. They loved treasure finding excursions to decorate their home and enjoyed live music.

Her passion in life was her faith, family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and always thought of others.

She loved her dogs, garage sales, thrifting, music, entertaining (especially at her 4th of July parties) and always had a pot of coffee and something to serve guests when anyone stopped by. Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Turners, Sr.; sisters, Beatrice Boak and Doris Ryder. She is survived by children, Troy Turner, Jerry Turner, Jr., and Tracey Hayward Turner; brother, William Greenawalt, Sr.; grandchildren, Liane and Jon Eric; and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held MONDAY, January 19, 2026, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, January 18, 2026, 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home.
