Charles E. Crego, 76, of Canal Fulton, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Born November 4, 1945 in Dyess, Arkansas to the late Charles Crego and Helen Park. He had been a Canal Fulton area resident the past 44 years. Charles was a First Lieutenant in the US Army having served during the Vietnam era from 1967 to 1970 and earned his MBA from Arkansas State University in 1972. He attended the Canal Fulton Baptist Church and was a Northwest boys and girls bantam basketball coach when his children were young. He was a small business owner, AT Tube Company, located in Wadsworth, Ohio, for 30+ years.  Charles was always very active. He was an avid water and snow skier, and loved bicycling on the towpath. He loved to travel, having been to many different places from Alaska to Hawaii and the Panama Canal. Charles was a family oriented man. His greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Hicks) Crego; son, Charles Crego; daughter, Marianne (Matt) Ryan; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma and Nathan Crego, Charlotte and Steven Ryan; sister, Barbara Sirpilla and brother, James (Christine) Park. Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY, February 1, 2022, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Pastor Whitney Owens officiating. Burial with military honors at Clinton Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday, 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.  Donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and/or Ohio Veterans Memorial Park.
