Charles A. "Al" Pleasant passed away peacefully in his loving wife's arms on February 10, 2011 at Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton. He was born on June 14, 1934 in Parsons, W. Va. to the late Charles H. and Glenna (nee Sheetz) Pleasant.

Al received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from West Virginia University and his master's degree in engineering from the University of Akron. He understood the importance of giving back, active in Uniontown, Ohio, where he provided leadership for the hot stove baseball program and in serving in the Lions Club for several years.
