Claire E. Peterman, 86 of Canal Fulton died Monday, January 8th, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alfred Peterman and is survived by her children, Patricia (Alex) Piteo, Alfred (Susan) Peterman, Jr., Susan Peterman, Edward (Jenny) Peterman, Daniel (Connie) Peterman and David Peterman; 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her sister, Susan (Raymond) Grimaldi. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dr. Henry Everding and Louis Everding. Claire was a resident of Canal Fulton for 48 years. A 1953 graduate of Beaver College (now Arcadia University), she received her Master's Degree from the University of Akron in 1986. She taught first grade at Canal Fulton Elementary School for 25 years and was a member of Canal Fulton United Methodist Church.

Funeral Service SATURDAY, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rev. Jon George officiating. Visitation will be FRIDAY 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4682 Douglas Circle NW, Canton, OH  44718.
