Obituary

Cloyse J. Cheyney, Jr. passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, Feb. 7, after a brief illness. He was born in Massillon, June 14, 1933, to the late Martha and Cloyse Cheyney and graduated from Jackson High in 1952. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Berny Henkel and a son, Bryon and is survived by loving wife of 57 years, DeLoris (Stadler); daughter, Kim Trussell (Bill); son, Brad (Kirstin); seven grandchildren, Clay Cheyney (Emily), Mandy Sancic (Tommy), Laura Greene(Andrew), Jeana Poa (Chris), Toni Alabakovski (Bill), Emillie Peters (Patrick), Paige Densmore(Rob); 12 great grandchildren; sister Marty Roush(Ken); brothers Owen(Judi), Bob (Marrianne). and brother-in-law ,John Henkel; Norweigan son, Cato Espero and his family; many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Chloe. Cloyse proudly served our country in the US Army, stationed in Germany, was a 40 year member of North Canton Eagles and a member of the NRA, Northeast Ohio Chapter of Safari Club International. He was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Massillon for 70 years and most recently, of Pleasant Valley United Methodist of Scio/Cadiz. He was a machinist before becoming the owner of Bair's Inc. He and his wife together grew the business until their retirement and the business continues to operate with family members and dedicated employees, under Business ethics established by Cloyse. After retirement, Cloyse most enjoyed maintaining his country properties, hunting and traveling. Funeral Service MONDAY, 11:00 a.m. at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, 8697 Mudbrook Rd. (Jackson Township) with Rev. Lynn Williamson, Rev. Rufus Hofelt and Rev. Bob King officiating. Burial with Military Honors by American Legion #221 at Mudbrook Cemetery. Friends may call SUNDAY, AT THE CHURCH from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8pm and MONDAY from 10:00 a.m until time of services. The family suggest donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
