Dalene (Trent) Brandon, 87, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 18, 1934. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1952. Dalene was the first woman bus driver for Manchester Schools in 1968 and drove bus for 11 years. She taught piano for 50 years. She was also the pianist for many Manchester High School performances throughout the years. Dalene loved her church family at Manchester Christian Church where she was a member, choir director, pianist and organist for 71 years. Dalene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting and baking. Dalene was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Fani Trent. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 69 years, Richard Brandon, Jr. Children, Becky (Tim) Hawkins, Greg (MaryAnn) Brandon, Chari (Kip) Gardner, Michael (Tammy) Brandon, Wendy Ling (Glen), Shelly (Roger) Chappell, 16 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren and brother, Rod (Becky) Trent. In lieu of flowers, donate to Akron Pregnancy Services or Haven of Rest. Services will be held at Manchester Christian Church, 930 W. Nimisila Rd., Akron on Saturday, January 22nd. Calling Hours are 1:00pm to 3:00pm with Funeral Services at 3:00pm. Private Burial at Manchester Cemetery.
