Darlene Hayes, age 64, died peacefully in her home on March 20th, 2022, in Norton, OH. Darlene was born on July 14th, 1957, in Fairmont, WV, to parents Donald and Doris. Soon after, the family moved to Canal Fulton, OH, where, in 1975, she graduated from Northwest High School. Darlene will always be remembered as a lover of music, particularly Tom Petty, Cleveland baseball, and reading. She will always be remembered as a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, friend, aunt, mother, and grandmother. Darlene is survived by her son Dennis Dayton and daughter-in-law Laura, her two grandchildren Greyson and Everett; brothers and sisters Don Jr, Diane, Debby, David, Dennis, Denise, Devin, and Dina; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna, Joe Jerin, and nephew Jared Marcum. A Memorial Service will be held SATURDAY, April 2, 2022, 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Visitation Saturday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
