David W. Bowman, 74 of Canal Fulton died Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. David was born March 30, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to the late Clyde W. and Dixie (Dortch) Bowman. He was a 1960 graduate of Akron Central High School and was a retired truckdriver for Lyons Transportation Lines with 30 years service. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #24 and was a three time State Truck Rodeo Champion. David is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Spaid) Bowman; children, Briant Bowman and Kimberly (Donnie Harkins) Kubiak; grandchildren, Connor, Benjamin and Maxwell Kubiak; sister, Diane (David) Green; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Marlene Poda; nieces and nephews, Jon, Jeff, Jill, Wayne and Amy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn St. NW, Canton, OH 44708.
