David W. Silvey, 74 of Canal Fulton, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was born March 4, 1947 in Fayette, MO to the late William and Vita (Brunjes) Silvey and had been a Canal Fulton area resident for the past 45 years. David was a graduate of Tallmadge High School Class of '65, was a U.S. Navy veteran having served from 1965-1969 during the Vietnam War and retired from Ohio Edison with over 30 years of service. He loved working with his hands and could always be found in the garage tinkering with something. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Kelly Silvey. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda (Taylor) Silvey; daughter, Stacy (Rich) Smaglinski; grandson, Curtis Litten; sister, Vickie (Ken) Hinkle of Florida and brother -in-law, Brooks "Bud" Taylor, Jr.. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
