Donald "Mack" Hayes, Sr., 83 years old, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 after battling many health issues. Born May 8, 1928 in Mannington, West Virginia. Donald is a World War II Veteran who served in the Navy. He grew up in West Virginia and later moved to Canal Fulton, Ohio in 1954. He retired from Rockwell International in 1986. Donald was an avid hunter, camper and country musician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sallie Hayes; his wife, Doris (Reese) Hayes; daughter, Donna (Marcum); brother, Paul Hayes and honorary son, Joe Jerin. Donald is survived by his children, Jay Marcum, Donald Jr. (Sue), Diane (Bill) Berg, Debby, Darlene, David (Linda), Denise (Lou) Balog, Dennis (Dyan), Devin (Kara) and Dina (Dan) Tomaszewski. 23 grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Jason, Aaron Marcum; Stacy (Smith) McGee, Donny and Dustin Hayes, Matt Berg, Kim (Berg) Williard, Dennis Dayton, Heather Hayes, Justin Mills, Brandon Balog, Dennis and LaRhea Hayes, Caitlin, Neve, Aiden and Gavin Hayes, C.J. Burridge, Mackenzie and Logan Tomaszewski. 13 great grandchildren. Donald is also survived by two brothers, Harold and Richard Hayes. Funeral Service FRIDAY 7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry Street, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rev. Cecil Farmer officiating and where friends may call Friday from 5 pm until time of the service. A Graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, January 28th at 2:00 pm at Whetstone Cemetery, Mannington, West Virginia.
