Doris M. Harriman, 89, went home to be with her beloved husband, Edward, on March 13, 2015, after a short illness. Doris had many talents. She sewed costumes for her grandchildren and clothes for her little friends, Knuckle and Mort, including a marching band uniform and tuxedos. She also played the organ for many years at her church. Doris had a passion for food, often preparing desserts, brownies and cookies for her family. Doris devoted her life to her family. Her strength, thoughtfulness, selflessness and wisdom were an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Harriman and son Carl J. Harriman. Doris will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jacci Harriman and David and Becky Harriman; four grandchildren, Zak, Amanda, Trista and Noelle; seven great-grandchildren; and Knuckle and Mort, who called her "Mater".
Funeral Services will be held, TUESDAY, March 17, 2015 at 11:00am, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Pastor Dennis McDonald officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to service time on TUESDAY. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
