Dorles Woods, 88, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born May 22, 1935 in Strange Creek, WV to the late Charles and Zella Woods and had been a Marshallville area resident most of his life. Dorles was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Wright Tool with over 35 years of service. He enjoyed bluegrass music, playing his guitar, sitting out in the heat, going out to eat and had a sweet tooth. Dorles loved his dog Pancho but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Janice; former wife, Peggy; son, Michael and several brothers and sisters. Dorles is survived by his daughters, Lanae Catteau and Cindy (David) Wertz; granddaughters, Abigail (Jeff) Midcap and Kaylin (Terry) Rose; five great-grandchildren, Dayanaira, Brennen, Riverlyn, Emerick and Leeland; daughter-in-law, Patricia; brothers, Dana, Demil and Dencil; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held FRIDAY, August 11, 2023, 11:00am at Maple Grove Cemetery in Marshallville.
