Dorothy E. Simmons, 91 of Canal Fulton went home to be with Jesus her Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Dorothy was born April 23, 1924 to the late Clarence and Nora (Reed) Arman and had been a life resident of the Canal Fulton area. She retired from Echoing Ridge in Canal Fulton and was a longtime member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Simmons; son, Todd A. Simmons; brothers, Claude and Lawrence Arman; sisters, Frances Wall and Beatrice Keller. She is survived by her son, Rodney Simmons; grandson, Eric Higgins; two great grandchildren; sister, Alice Johnson; sister-in-law, Sylvia Arman; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Carole Zay. Funeral services will be THURSDAY 11:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry Street East (Route 93) Canal Fulton with Rev. Jon George, officiating and where friends may call THURSDAY 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Canal Fulton Cemetery.
