Drew J. Maglio, 40 of Canal Fulton, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Born February 14, 1984 to Steven and Brenda (Tenney) Maglio, he was a 2002 graduate of Manchester High School. After high school Drew attended Heidelberg University and shortly afterwards joined the US Air Force where he served his country for 12 years. He did multiple deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq as a Combat Controller with the Special Forces. He was proud of his service in the Air Force and greatly cherished the camaraderie he felt for his fellow Airmen. Upon leaving the military Drew moved back to Ohio, graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree and worked as a land surveyor for ODOT Drew loved spending time with his children, whether he was coaching his son in wrestling and baseball or watching his girls' sporting events. His children were the love of his life. Drew was preceded in death by his father, Steve Maglio and is survived by his children, Luke, Leia and Lauren Maglio; mother, Brenda (Jim) Savage; brother, Eric (Sheila) Maglio; stepbrother, Chris (Kelly) Savage; stepsister, Meghan (Scott) Vetrone; step grandmother, Patsy Savage and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held FRIDAY, May 17, 2024, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
