Eddie L. Guthrie Sr, 79 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. Born October 19, 1944 to the late Edd and Leuna Guthrie he was a Clinton resident all of his life and a 1962 graduate of Northwest High School. Eddie was a proud US Navy veteran having served during Vietnam. He enjoyed digging for old bottles, playing golf and shooting pool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Goff. Eddie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Guthrie; children, Susan Pettitt, Betsy Harvey (Mike), Eddie Guthrie Jr, (Yvonne), Rachel Schilling (Steve) and Daryl (Krystal) Guthrie; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, July 27, 2024, 12:00pm (Noon) at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial with military honors at Clinton Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home.
