Edna May (Gottwalt) Lorenz, 91 formerly of New Franklin, Ohio went home to be with the Lord June 19, 2021. She was born in Barberton, Ohio January 7, 1930 to the late Robert and Goldie Pegrim. Edna retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in 1990 and moved to Deltona, Florida in 1993. In 2005 she moved to Leesburg, Florida.  Mrs. Lorenz loved the Lord and was a member of Legacy Christian Church in Clinton, Ohio. She loved to play the piano, sing, and play golf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 31 years, Clyde H. Lorenz; husband of 26 years, Roy K. Gottwalt; daughter, Linda Lee Smith; ; brothers, Kenneth (Ada) Pegrim and Jack (Betty) Pegrim; sisters, Ruby (Bill) Lanning and Donna (John) Merchant; nephew, Timothy Merchant; niece, Cheri (Michael) Bregante. Edna is survived by her son, Michael R. Gottwalt; daughter-in-law, Stacey Gottwalt; granddaughters, Erin Evans, Jessica Gottwalt and Grace Gottwalt; great-granddaughter, Makayla Evans; great-grandson, Brody Gottwalt; step-daughter, Kim (Sandy) Blower; several step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021, 11:00am at Legacy Christian Church, 7592 Middle St., Clinton, OH, Jim Gindlesberger officiating. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials in Edna's name can be made to Mercy Hospice, 4369 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH 44718.
