Edward J. Egan, 91 of Canal Fulton passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at his home. Edward was born September 24, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and Alice (Flanagan) Dougan, was a Navy Veteran in World War II and was a member of SS Philip & James Catholic Church, Canal Fulton. He retired from the Food Service industry, having worked for ACME and SYSCO and sang in the Barbershop Quartet Interludes. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Egan in 2006 and numerous siblings and is survived by children, Linda D. McDonald and Bill (Margie) Egan; grandchildren, Deidre, Sabra, Craig and Melissa McDonald; nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be TUESDAY, Oct. 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry Street East (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey officiating and where friends may call TUESDAY from 12:30p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
