Elizabeth Jane (Carmany) Hudkins, 91, passed after a short unexpected illness on February 21, 2025.

Jane was born and raised in Manchester (New Franklin), Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Wayne; brothers John, Harry, Robert, William, Bruce and Thomas (whom she thought of as a little brother) and parents Harry and Elizabeth Carmany. Jane is survived by her children, Bruce, Joe (Brenda) and Pamela; granddaughters Erica (Kris), Megan (Steve); great-grandchildren, Josephine, Madison, Gabriel, Emmett and Nora; and many nieces and nephews, including James (Barb) Carmany (who she also thought of as her little brother).

Jane was a woman of many talents, who touched many hearts, more than she would ever know. Her baby blankets and doll furniture went beyond state and country borders. It was not unusual for Jane and Wayne to do things in secret for others in need for both those they knew and many they didn't. She will be missed greatly.

If anyone asked how she was, her reply was always…."mean, fat and sassy."
