Ethel S. Balding, 87 of Manchester died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at the Chapel Hill Community, Canal Fulton. Ethel was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Harry and Susie (Roush) Boston, was a graduate of Akron South High School and had worked for Firestone Bank and McGregor & McGregor Accounting. She was a member of Canal Fulton Church of the Nazarene. Ethel married her childhood sweetheart, James E. on March 29, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Ruth and is survived by her daughter Elaine (Graham) Acton; son, James R. (Rita) Balding; eight grandchildren, Rhonda, Rick, Susan, Sherron, Jim E., Ashley, Chad and Hallie; eight great grandchildren, Renae, Stephanie, Braden, Stephanie, Abby, Kaiden, Rylan and Britton; brothers, Bob (Bessie) Boston, Rev. C.L. (the late Janet) Boston and Jerry (Phyllis) Boston; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be TUESDAY 10:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rte. 93, Canal Fulton) with Pastor Mike Hirschfelt officiating. Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home MONDAY 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to time of service.
